Established in 2002 as a discrete business unit of RDNS (Royal District Nursing Service) Private, Focus Healthcare will provide quick response services to meet the discharge planning needs of hospitals, or hospital avoidance planning e.g by GPs and other health service providers.
Focus Healthcare manages all fee-for-service contracts on behalf of RDNS, including Department of Veterans’ Affairs, Private Health Funds and Workcover / other compensable claims.
Focus Healthcare is the largest fee-for-service provider of home health care in Adelaide. We offer the skills and experience of registered and enrolled nurses, occupational therapists nurse specialists and home support staff to provide an extensive range of home and community health care services. These include:
- Hospital avoidance and hospital substitution
- Support for early discharge from hospital
- Home health and safety assessments
- Personal emergency home monitoring
- Acute and post acute nursing services
- Extended care and services (combining nursing, allied health and support worker inputs)
Focus Healthcare is a responsive service:
- Coverage is provided across the Adelaide metropolitan region: from Gawler in the north to Seaford / McLarenVale in the south and the Adelaide Hills.
- Referrals can be made any time, day or night
- Same day response can be negotiated for urgent cases
- Care and services are provided day and night, weekends and public holidays
